Our Purpose

The Independent Living Victoria team have all worked together within the Aged Care and Disability for a number of years, however we recognised an opportunity to utilise all of our individual abilities and expertise to create our own boutique business within this space.  We all share and believe, the most important goal is to ensure our clients receive the best high quality care  and value available. Working closely with our clients to reach this outcome.  With this in mind, we strive to employ care staff who share the same values as we do when it comes to caring for our clients.  It is important for all our care staff to demonstrate reliability and commitment as our clients rely heavily on them to assist them with daily tasks and activities.

Who We Are

Emily

Emily Mayne - Chief Executive Officer

Emily is a mum of three gorgeous yet crazy boys who keep her busy when she is not working.  Emily has worked in the home care and NDIS sectors for 5 years and has thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.  Prior to her time in this industry, Emily found herself in finance, a completely different role but equally as challenging.  Emily brings her experiences from both industries together to provide a high-quality service and seamless experience for each client she works with.

Sarah

Sarah Terrell - Director

Sarah has been working in the aged care and disability services for over 18 years. Her experience has been in hospital settings, home care and nursing agencies.  In these roles Sarah has focused on recruitment, compliance, rostering and marketing. Sarah values every opportunity ILV are given to work with a client and their networks to provide them with care and support they need.  In her spare time, Sarah enjoys going to the gym spending time with her family and friends.

Naomi

Naomi Murray - Senior Care Coordinator

Naomi is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience in a variety of settings including high dependency, surgical, rehabilitation – including ABI’s and General Practice. She has a passion for getting to know her clients and understand their needs in order to provide a positive care experience for everyone. In her spare time she loves a chat, a good laugh and spending time with her 8 children.

Abby Miller - RN/Continence Nurse

Abby is a Registered Nurse with over 3.5 years of experience in Emergency Nursing. With a passion and commitment to personalised care, Abby’s goal is to provide comprehensive support and education to individuals navigating continence issues. Through tailored assessments Abby strives to enhance independence and confidence in each client ensuring a high quality of life is maintained. Outside of work Abby is busy running around after her 8 month old daughter and finding her feet as a new mum returning back into the workforce

Lily

Lily MacKenzie - Allocations Administrator

Lily is our Administration and Allocations Assistant.  Lily graduated high school in 2020, completing her VCE. She has a passion for health and sport and enjoys engaging with new and current ILV clients. Lily makes it a priority to ensure she is always delivering work at a very high standard. Lily enjoys catching up with friends and family and playing netball.

Kellie

Kellie Wingrave - Recruitment Officer

Kellie has been with ILV since the beginning and has been a versatile team member. From managing maintenance jobs to answering after hours enquires to recruiting our wonderful support workers, her adaptability and work ethic has played a key role in the growth and smooth running of ILV. Kellie is a mother of two beautiful children, who keep her on her toes when she is not working with the ILV team.

Ash Duffy - General Manager

Ash has spent most of her time working on compliance and government legislation in education and aged care. She’s experienced at leading projects and setting up processes. Ash enjoys guiding a team and finds it fulfilling to help others develop in their roles. She views her role more as a mentor than a manager. Outside of work, Ash is a mum to three boys and loves socialising with family and friends in her free time.

Jacqui White - Office Manager

Jacqui stepped into the role as Office Manager this year to oversee the day-to-day operations of ILV. Her commitment to ILV and ensuring we continue to provide an excellent service to all our clients has made her a fundamental part of the team.  She is an excellent communicator and team leader. Jacqui is a mum to 2 young and active girls. Having been a hairdresser for 30 years, she was ready for a new challenge and has enjoyed building her understanding of the disability and aged care space. She loves practicing yoga, photography and playing tennis.

Our Services

Our office is located in the South East, yet we service clients all over Melbourne and recruit staff based on the needs of our clients and their locations. We specialise in providing 24 hour care to clients in their homes and work with the client to build a roster that suits their needs.  We have the capacity to provide care to a variety of clients including private clients, aged care and clients under the NDIS. We pride ourselves on building teams of support workers based on each individuals needs and creating a reliable and consistent roster for each of our clients. We ensure all our staff receive the appropriate training required whether it be bowel care, catheter care, operation of a hoist, medication administration or any other aspects of personal care.
