The role may involve:

  • Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)
  • Bowel and Catheter Care
  • Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
  • Transportation and supporting social engagement
  • Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability
  • Experience in providing high level complex care
  • Experience using a hoist
  • Flexible and good availability

Essential criteria:

  • An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person-centred support
  • Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach
  • A valid driver’s license, with regular access to a vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • The legal right to work in Australia
  • Current Police Check
  • Current CPR & First Aid certificate or willing to obtain
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken.
  • A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities
  • Other certificates relating to Healthcare and NDIS Modules, or willing to obtain.
